Why Bee a Champion for Mental Health?
CMHA is central Connecticut's local mental health authority and is one of the largest behavioral health care providers in the state.
Dedicated to improving the quality of life for Connecticut’s residents, CMHA offers programs for all ages, ranging from residential treatment to outpatient counseling to substance abuse prevention and education. We have been serving our clients and the community for more than 40 years, and we change the lives of more than 6,100 children and adults each year.
The Run for Recovery will support CMHA’s vital behavioral health care programs for our neighbors in crisis. Even now, when these services are needed more than ever, state funding has been drastically cut, and copays and insurance reimbursement rates don’t cover the cost of providing care. Support for this event, CMHA’s only annual fundraiser, is a lifeline for programs and services, ensuring that CMHA is able to care for adults, children and families who need our help.
